Clea and I started working together two years ago in 2020, and she’s been a pleasure to train. She was clear about her desired areas of improvement and placed a definitive timeline to be proficient in those areas.

I find Clea to be analytical, determined, focused, punctual, a hard worker, and very coachable. Those attributes contributed to Clea making considerable strides since our first session.

During the pandemic, while competitive play was suspended, Clea doubled the amount of time she trained. She participated in club training three times a week and spent the remaining days with me. In a short period, she went from playing on a Marin FC ECRL team to the ECNL level with De Anza Force, where she has become a key player in the midfield. Clea also plays on the San Rafael High School varsity soccer team, and for the 2021-2022 season, which overlapped with her move to De Anza Force, Clea was named Captain, Offensive MVP, and MCAL 2nd Team All-Conference (one of three sophomores in Marin County).

"With Tristan, there are no preconceived limits. He created a supportive, focused, and dynamic training environment for me to work on my game and gave me the tools necessary to get to the next level. Since joining De Anza Force, I have continued working with Tristan as I am committed to accomplishing my new goals."

Her success is a testament to her mentality towards training and her willingness to work. She has a huge upside and will continue developing into a player that can compete at the D1 level.
