Addison Ryba
My journey with Addison started in 2021 during the pandemic. Her goals were simple. Addison was keen to improve her tactical understanding to become more of an offensive threat. Lastly, she wanted to improve her self-confidence.
I quickly noticed after our initial session that Addi is a determined young girl who sets high standards for herself. She cares deeply about soccer and wants to improve so she can contribute more to her team. While I believe that to be great in most cases, at times, it affected her performance and slowed her development as she struggled to manage the pressure she placed on herself.
From then on, I knew we could attack all three goals simultaneously. So we began systematically breaking down the winger position by developing her technical ability and tactical understanding. Her self-confidence steadily grew as she progressed toward her goals.
Every time I train with Tristan I know I’m going to be a better player in my next game. He helps me improve my skills, shows me how see the field better so I can be ready to help my team both on and off the ball and helps me believe the goals I’ve set for my future are possible.

In June, Addi attended the OSA x TBS camp, and she blossomed in front of me. Her positioning during key moments improved, as did her ability to deal with challenging situations mentally and emotionally. I’m incredibly proud of her progress, and I look forward to walking alongside her and her family as she develops into the excellent player I know she has the potential to be.
"Tristan has an innate ability to know when to encourage a player to push themselves beyond what they believe they are capable of and when to pull back and address physical or emotional roadblocks that are hindering performance. His training sessions are challenging yet encouraging, allow space for questions and growth and Addison always walks away feeling like her skills and mindset are stronger. We are grateful for his focus on developing the whole player, not just technical skills and see the tremendous growth as a person and a player that has come from Addison’s time training with Tristan." - Sara Ryba (Mom)
